What to pack for a weekend away?

For this weeks blog I decided to change it up a little and do something different, I thought it would be a good idea to blog about what to pack for a weekend away. Seeing as I myself shall be going on a short getaway to amsterdam . I am pretty excited to be going away for a short period of time.

First of all you need a suitcase , whether it be a small suitcase or a medium suitcase depending on how much stuff you want to take with you. I myself shall be taking a small suitcase as I am taking the eurostar and then on the way back to london I shall be going on an airplane so I needed a suitcase that was suitable for the airplane . Having a hand luggage also comes in handy as you can place some of your things in there to save room in your suitcase.

Hot weather

If you are going to a hot country the most important piece of item to pack would be suncream so you can avoid getting burnt , a towel to dry yourself with or to lie on a sunbed / on the beach with, a bikini / swimming costume , shorts/ t-shirts/ vest tops / skirts / dresses/ play suits etc and evening clothes. Flip flops, sandals and flat shoes would be the most suitable footwear to wear. Don't forget to pack sunglasses and a beach bag to pack all your beach things in.  Also Don't forget to pack toiletries.

Cold weather

 If you are going to a cold country the most important piece of item to pack would be a hat/ scarf / gloves and a nice warm coat. I would also recommend packing thermal clothing , plenty of layers, knee high socks/ warm socks/ wooly socks. Boots, trainers, uggs and shoes that cover your feet would be the most suitable footwear to wear. Don't forget to pack a towel to dry yourself with and of course toiletries.
