For this weeks blog I decided to blog about an event I went to last friday. The event was VanElse launching her clothing line in London, there was a catwalk, champagne, food, a swing chair etc. I got to meet VanElse herself and she was so nice, I met various other people.
The Evening/ Night was amazing the music, the food, the drinks, the models, the people were just epic. I had such a great time and loved being apart of the big event.
The Event was held at the Cherry Moon in chelsea who often host events for people who would like to promote their clothing line.
VanElse started as a brand in 2012. The founder of VanElse is Else Hardjopawiro, Surinamese of Indonesian heritage. After a successful career being a CEO of different organizations she chooses to follow her dream and passion; becoming a fashion designer and artist.
Else has managed to grow brand awareness for the brand VanElse in Europe, South America and the United States. In 2014 the brand was nominated for the Rotterdam Fashion Award 2014. 2015 was a successful year for VanElse. The brand launched its first official collection inspired by African print at the Africa fashion week in London and in Barcelona. The brand was also invited by The Africa Diaspora Showcase in Tucson Arizona to showcase the african print collection during a jazz fashion event.
She has also been featured in vogue and elle .
